beauty. thank you.
sense mud-rubbings of trees in the wind....
I especially like the 6th image-- with the rock with the circular indents-- I have smaller versions from a beach near by-- wish I could come and get THAT rock..
it's an ancient ochre grinding site. the aboriginal people used to sit under there and grind pigments for rock paintings. But i reckon they also used to grind seeds/nuts for making into damperish type food stuffs. It IS amazing and in the middle of sacred country to be sure. x
Sounds spiritual to be there-- I like the reference to painting and pigment..I saw an exhibit of aboriginal paintings and works at the Seattle Art museum last year-- best stuff in the place... all those dots
reckon....so much stuff here it is almost too many dots, get bored of it you know! Seem to crave contemporary non-indigenous art. Have you seen Emily Kngwarry's worx? She the best or Kitty Kentilla? x
