when i wrote to somebody about you last night and said that i thought my student would be outshining me sometime...i did not realise just how soon that sometime would be! it's not often i look at pictures from an exhibition and just WISH that i had made that work. tis all exquisite, me dear...and leaves your mentor gazing at a blank wall wondering where her own journey should go next...
Perhaps through all the pain one discovers new strengths, new understandings, new directions. Perhaps this path you are on is hard because it's steep but the view at the top will be better than anything imbi has ever seen. i adore ur work but more importantly i am inspired by the makers journey!!! This work moves me not only visually but because I know it's cost and i hope you feel it's value too. Have fun dancing on tables imbi. u deserve it.
